The Monday Mood Lift!
Bank holiday Monday's don't necessarily need a lift as they are always a gift, but when I saw the news this morning I couldn't help but smile! We were all obsessed with Destiny's Child when I was at school and then my nights out were always littered with Beyonce booty shakes! At the same time I remember having Big Pimpin as my ringtone, and being crazy about The Black Album. When Jay Z and Beyonce got together they became the tour de force of the music world so the news that they are expecting a baby is just the icing on the cake! The usually private couple announced their news in the most spectacular of fashions, let the dynasty begin...

Monday Mood Lift!
This week has started off badly! My Iphone has decided to take on Tom Daley and dived into the toilet and now refuses to work. I'm having to use an ancient phone that leaves me texting as quick as my Nan! So to cheer myself up I've uploaded a still from one of the greatest films of all time...

Monday Mood Lift!
It's that time of the week, so it can only mean one thing, The Monday Mood Lift! This week I have taken inspiration from our great capital, London which was affected by the riots last week and my Beloved, who created this awesome poster I'm shamelessly plugging. The riots have exposed the social issues Britain faces to the world stage but lets hope it doesn't put people off visiting London as it truly is an amazing city.

Monday Mood Lift!
It's Monday and we all need something to ease us into the week. So every Monday I will be uploading a little source of inspiration or triviality to rid us all of the Monday blues. So to kick off the first week I took inspiration from our Westie Puppy Dante who is only just (fingers crossed) toilet trained. This clip demonstrates I still have a long way to go...

What Katy Did Next...
Ok, so it's a different Kate but The Duchess of Cambridge manages to steal some of the attention today. The first foreign tour as a married couple and Kate has let it be known that she dresses herself. With all the public sector cuts and issue with the economy she has demonstrated she is not afraid to be frugal with the public purse. In a show of "we're all in this together" Kate reworks her official engagement Reiss dress with a red maple leaf hat for Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa. She even borrowed a brooch from The Queen, perhaps she is trying to make up for reports this week that her new Father In Law, Prince Charles has upped his spending. Her outfit choices so far have been classic and well thought out in terms of showing the 'best of British' as well as being conscious to the Canadian visit. I think the outfit today was very appropriate for the occasion but it does highlight her dramatic weight loss from her already slight frame.

The Happy Couple |
The wait is over Kate Moss married Jamie Hince in a beautiful English country setting today. Fashionistas had to wait until this afternoon to see photos of the happy couple strolling from the Church service through the village to her exclusive reception. I must say, it was worth the wait. Kate stayed true to her vintage bohemian style and wore a stunning Galliano designed dress that gave Kate an ethereal beauty. Her choice of John Galliano also proved her loyalty to her friend who has experienced a highly publicised fall from grace. Kate who is not shy of controversy herself now leaves many wondering whether she will now settle down and leave her partying ways to her single life? Hmmm, leopards and spots!

The much anticipated kiss! |
Today is the day! The wedding was magical and exceeded all of my expectations. I must admit I did shed a few tears! I know it has been said countless times but the dress was stunning. I let out a little cheer when it was revealed that it was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. What was particularly touching about the ceremony was the way in which you could really feel the love and warmth the couple share for each other. Especially when Prince William greeted Kate at the alter with the lines every Bride wishes to hear from their Groom "You look beautiful." and indeed she did.
Other highlights of the day were seeing the Queen drive to the Abbey with a blue blanket (speculation is mounting it was a slanket) it was so cute, she is 85 bless her! David Beckham arriving with his OBE medal on the wrong side oops! The bridesmaid Grace Van Cutsem covering her ears on the Royal Balcony, and for those who missed the presence of the late Princess Diana apparently as Kate reached the alter the sun came out leaving many of the crowd to speculate it was her presence.
I also enjoyed following the proceedings on Twitter as it gave the coverage another dimension. Especially seeing the amount of Americans who got up especially early to watch.
I have always been a Royalist and it is days like today that really make me proud to be British and part of a rich heritage.
Tomorrow I will be posting the pictures from the MINI dealership that I helped decorate for the royal wedding but for the rest of the evening I'm going to be watching all the highlights again!

The Happy Couple! |
It is now less than a month until the Royal wedding and there is an air of excitement in England at the moment! Although some people feel that taxpayers money could be better spent during a time of economic austerity, I can't help but feel it provides us all with something lovely to focus on. For those who aren't Royalist or bothered by the Royal Wedding just be grateful for the four day weekend!

Girl Crush
I love the Oscars not just because I love films but for the fashion on the red carpet. Mila Kunis may not have been nominated for an award but she truly was the winner of the night in the style stakes. I can't tell you how much I love this look, the lavender lace is positively ethereal. Mila has been on my beloveds radar for some time and it is pretty obvious why!

Happy Valentines Day!
Valentines Day is not just about showing someone how much you love them. For those of you who have a cynical view of today perhaps look at it from a different perspective... St Valentine doesn't just represent love and couples, he is also the Patron Saint of bee keepers, epilepsy, fainting, greetings, plague, travellers and young people.
